Heaven goes by favor; if it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.

Nancy M from NY submitted the following story:

“Eddie, our beagle, was new to us, 10 months old and was being slowly introduced to the underground fence system. He didn’t have on his fence sensor one night and went out the door behind my son who didn’t notice the dog. It was a horrible night, thunder and lightning and wind. We noticed his absence about an hour later. He was long gone. We drove for hours around looking and calling for him.

The only identification on him at the time was his bandana with his name, Eddie, embroidered on it. My daughter and I were crushed, cried for hours that night and the next day.

We got a phone call mid morning the following day from a neighbor we had not met. It seems on his way to work, he passed Eddie who was sitting beside the road. He had to turn around, because, as he said, he was too cute and obviously well loved to be wearing a bandana to just pass by. He put Eddie in his car and turned back for home. He placed Eddie in his garage and then headed off to work.

Once at work he had his secretary call local vet offices asking if they had a patient named Eddie who was a beagle. On her second call she found our vet who said yes, we have a beagle named Eddie in our files. The vet gave her the name and address and phone number, and we received a call from his secretary. What a relief! Had it not been for his bandana and the very smart thinking of this young man, we would have no doubt lost our Eddie forever!”

Barbara, one of TippyPaws’ advertising customers sent us a funny catnip story. (We all know what catnip can “do” to a cat, right?)

“I almost lost a job once because of these toys I make. A boss of mine had two cats, so I brought her two cat toys. Well, when she walked in the door, the cats attacked her purse, so she put the toys up in a kitchen cabinet.

That night, the cats dumped everything in the cabinet onto the floor trying to get to the toys.
Needless to say, she was not in the best humor when she got to work the next day, and she blamed me for her lack of sleep because the cats had her up rummaging the house all night long.”

Cats are smarter than humans - they just knew that she forgot to give them their catnip toys :)
