Summer is here, what a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors with your furry friend! Be aware though that the damaging UV-rays can also affect your dog. If your animal’s skin is fair, put some sunscreen on his ears and nose. Should your dog have a very pink nose, you might want to think about protecting it with a permanent tatoo. Almost every dog carries a dog collar and about 90% have pet ID-tags attached. This is a good thing and has lead to much less animals being euthanized at shelters because the animal and the owner could be re-united. Statewide dog license laws are supposed to help return lost dogs to their owners, but they don’t work always because many dogs and cats might have lost their collars and ID-tags somewhere between where they escaped and the shelter they might end up at.
