Corona Virus

by Filed under Canine Diseases Infectious

Corona is caused by a virus that attacks the small intestinal lining. A dog infected with this virus will experience lethargy, anorexia and sometimes depression.

Animals will vomit in which blood can be found sometimes. Diarrhea is mild to severe and the feces yellow-orange with blood to be found.

The Corona virus is most common in animals held in kennels. Vaccination is mandatory; some kennels do require it though if you intend to board your dog. If you consider vaccination it’s best to vaccine puppies around three months with an additional booster shot at about four months. It is not recommended to start vaccinating older dogs.
