Tattoos subsitute for pigments

by Filed under Microchips - Tattoos, Albino Dogs

Tattooing your Animal’s Nose, Eyelids, etc.

Some dogs are born with a pink nose and/or pink eyelids, but otherwise their coat is the color it is supposed to be. (See our article about >> Albinos). The pinkness is caused by lack of pigments and the animals are prone to get sunburned on these very sensitive body parts.

You can help your animal by tattooing the affected areas. Such tattoos are performed by tattoo artists in the veterinarian’s office and the animals are anaesthetized to prevent pain.
