Dehydration

Checking for dehydration
After animals have been vomiting or suffering from diarrhea they can easily become dehydrated. Dehydration is a serious issue and can be fatal. Dehydration also occurs in case of a kidney disease.

To check if your animal is dehydrated grasp it’s skin between the shoulder blades with 2 fingers. Release. If the skin bounces back almost immediately your pet is fine. If it takes more than 2 - 3 secons for the skin to bounce back or if it stands up in the position it was grasped, your animal shows sign of dehydration.

Don’t hesitate to visit a vet as soon as possible!
